The Italian-Spanish El Movi_miento Prize

The deadline for entries to the El Movi_miento Prize for debut novels is 1 September 2026. The prize was conceived by the Spanish literary magazine of the same name, the Spanish publishing house Bunker Books and Bibliotheka, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in Madrid, the World Academy of Poetry and Pen Club España.

The aim of the prize is to recognise and support one debut novel in Spanish and one in Italian that stand out for their voice, form and literary originality.

The initiative was presented on Thursday 21 May at the Italian Cultural Institute in Madrid by José Vicente Rubio Eire, editor of the magazine El Movi_Miento, Borja Caamaño, editor at Bunker Books, and Santiago Maradei, editor at Bibliotheka.
