Arsenica
Bergamin, with his poems, knows how to handle the most hidden areas of life in the same way as the more usual ones. His words become small to look carefully; then they widen and touch the sides – the more distant ones – of things. A completely personal collection which, however, can overflow, leave the carousel of the self and become of others: take melancholy and make it sweet; take love and make it shared joy.
Son of two sharecroppers, Bergamin worked with them after school as a child. He has been a metalworking entrepreneur for more than twenty years; always a writer. In 2016 he made his debut with his poem collection Better late; in 2017 he obtained the Prize \’GueCi\’ at the Literary Prize \’Città di Fermo\’ and the special prize at the 51st National Poetry Prize \’Città di Mortara\’; he conquered the podium, in 2019, at the International Literary Competition \’Idea Donna\’.
