An unmissable essay, a long package insert you can read as a novel!

In this work Massimo Tallone suggests to read the classical of universal literature as instructions for life, as remedy for new and old inconveniences, as relief finding in remote texts common experiences and solutions to current problems: why being unprepared in the presence of a love emotion or a theft, when you can be perfectly ready, thanks to the advice of Madame Bovary and The Clothes they stood up in? But Bartleby mi ha salvato la vita is not just an essay. The author, through 27 sheets dedicated to 27 masterpieces, gives practical examples, showing how he solved problems, faced pains and accidents turning to a literary character, to a classic book: theory and practice to learning agility… and get better! Don’t miss the chapter about “literary diet”, which sketches a tasty comparison between what we eat (carbohydrates, proteins etc.) and what we read (novel, essays, poetry and so on), raccomanding and interesting and balanced menu to make happy our body and our brain. From Odyssey to Three Men in a Boat, from The Count of Montecristo to The Purple Cloud and Tortilla Flat: masterpieces which change us, feed us, take care of us. An unmissable book to discover and rediscover (insolitude or all together!) the overwhelming power of reading, the energy of words, the enchantment of pages. Because of the themes, the possibility of a personal itinerary and the captivating and fluent tone, Bartleby mi ha salvato la vita could also be used in schools and suggested to student from 14 years old as extracurricular text.
