Bikeconomy
In the EU as a whole, the bikeconomy is worth more than EUR 500 billion. If you add to cycling tourism the daily use of the bike, you understand how significant the cycling sector is; so significant that it deserves its own index, the PIB, Prodotto Interno Bici. The book explores all the dimensions of the phenomenon, highlighting aspects, protagonists and stories that may be little known, but which have a significant impact, such as the inclusion factor: like the cycle shops that become a place of transmission of craft and manual knowledge. Or as the case of Ciclochard, a group of young people who volunteer on the street, choosing the bicycle as a tool to teach a trade to the homeless.
