The famous profile of Carver (1938-1988) prepared by Antonio Spadaro is back in bookshops: a tool to better understand the metaphysical restlessness of the American writer, the profound sense of his minimalism and strength, in many ways still unexplored, of his poetry. The volume, already published by Messaggero di Padova in 2001 under the title Carver: Un’acuta sensazione di attesa (Carver: a keensense of anticipation), is enriched by a new chapter on the relevance of Carver’s writing and by a diary of Spadaro’s journey to the writer’s grave in Port Angeles (with a photographic insert).
