Asia is a city girl, a lover of shopping and comforts, who moves from German-speaking Switzerland to the mountains of South Tyrol for the sake of a boyfriend… who soon leaves her. Resourceful and bold, Asia doesn’t lose heart: she finds a new home, a new job, makes new friends, and above all, meets Luca, a much older man, reserved and of Sardinian origins, living in the South Tyrolean mountains. The spark is immediate, and Asia is determined to win him over, no matter the cost.
Set against the backdrop of her beloved (and hated) mountains, the Sardinian sea, and the colorful streets of Havana, this contemporary love story is tangled and chaotic, full of unexpected sweetness but also many bitter moments. Above all, Asia’s real battle is to learn to love herself. Through outrageous blunders, euphoric highs, and deep vulnerabilities, Asia always manages to get back on her feet—sometimes stumbling, but never falling from her beloved twelve-centimeter heels.
