A biography in the form of a novel, where the author tells the story of her great-grandmother. Ermelinda, the protagonist, has been a myth in her family for generations. She was a woman who made bold and controversial choices for the time. Choices that they made her cross the ocean, never to return to Italy. «Finally, I immersed myself in the history of those daring choices, reconnecting a bond that I thought was definitively broken. I thus rediscovered a part of my roots».
Antonella Olivieri was born and lives in Milan. She is a teacher of Literature. She currently works as a trainer in the field of Specific Learning Disorders. She is the author and co-author of articles and teaching texts published by various publishing houses. Passionate about history, she collaborates with various associations and with Milanosifastoria, a network and project for the popularization of history in the area, not only in local perspective.
