Filosofie civili. Storia, politica e attualità dell’Illuminismo
The essays collected in this volume cover a constellation of themes united by a fundamental need: trying to retrace some topoi of the Italian and European political Enlightenment, to identify traces of research capable of critically questioning our present. Through a double path of investigation – one more historiographical and the other more theoretical-critical – the contributions aim to reflect on the legacy (present and lost) of the political Enlightenment, in the dual meaning of a civil philosophy and a critical history.
Diego Lazzarich is editorial director of the scientific journal Politics. Rivista di Studi Politici and member of the scientific committee of editorial series and research centres.
Pietro Sebastianelli is a researcher in the history of political doctrines at the University of Naples ‘Federico II’. He deals with the history of government arts in modern and contemporary political thought.
