Gente di passaggio
by Musto, Giuseppe
What remains of a family when the only bond between two brothers is the shadow of a father who is no longer there? Alberto and Genio are brothers divided by a deep-seated conflict. When their father’s illness—the very same one that had shattered their family years earlier—culminates in his sudden disappearance, the two are forced into an uneasy truce. Amidst frantic searches and their mother’s grief, the brothers must decide whether to save themselves or let the past destroy them. A powerful novel in which waiting becomes the only form of survival.
