Buenos Aires: the Dante Alighieri Society at the Book Fair 2026
The Dante Alighieri Society will be taking part in the 50th Buenos Aires Book Fair, which will run from 23 April to 11 May 2026, with a packed programme of events, including an exhibition on Andrea Camilleri and numerous book presentations. The first event on the programme will be the opening, on 25 April (Pabellón Ocre), of the bilingual travelling exhibition ‘Scenes, Voices, Accents, Writings: The Infinite Theatre of Andrea Camilleri’. Curated by Giulio Ferroni, the exhibition has been organised in collaboration with the Andrea Camilleri Foundation and the National Committee for the Centenary. On display will be reproductions of archival materials, autograph documents, drafts, photographs, books and audiovisual materials. Also during the Fair, on 28 April (Pabellón Rojo, Sala José Hernández), there will be a presentation of Alessandro Masi’s book L’opera perfetta. Vita e morte di Masaccio (Neri Pozza 2026), in collaboration with the Universidad Católica Argentina, one of Dante’s main institutional partners in the country, and with a welcome address by Rector Miguel Ángel Schiavone.
