European Literary Translation Conference

The European Council of Literary Translators’ Associations (CEATL), which brings together 34 associations from 26 European countries, is organising the European Literary Translation Conference from 2 to 4 October in Strasbourg, France, UNESCO World Book Capital 2024.
The conference will bring together all those involved in literary translation: translators, writers, publishers, booksellers, librarians, training establishments, residencies, book festivals and fairs, and all the organisations supporting literary translation in Europe.
The working sessions, to be held at the European Parliament, will provide an unprecedented opportunity to discuss best practice and the challenges facing the sector (linguistic and editorial diversity, artificial intelligence, freedom of expression, etc.).
