Giacomo Sartori in San Francisco

On March 3, 2025, at 8:30 p.m., the Italian Cultural Institute of San Francisco will host a meeting with the writer Giacomo Sartori, whose novels Sono Dio (I Am God, NN Editore, 2016) and Baco (Baco, Exorma, 2019), translated into English and published in the United States, have been highly appreciated by critics and American readers: The American translation of Sono Dio was included among the Financial Times’ Books of the Year (Best Books of 2019), and won the Foreword Indies 2019 (Gold winner for Literary) and in 2020 the Italian Prose in Translation Award, while the US edition of Baco was a finalist for the Philip K. Dick Award in 2022.
The author will present his novel Anatomia della battaglia (Sironi, 2005) now being released in a new edition published by TerraRossa, in conversation with writer Elizabeth Mckenzie and literary translator Michela Martini who are working on the American edition of the work, soon to be published by Coffee House in early 2026.
