Italian books in Canberra

On the occasion of the 24th Week of the Italian Language in the World (14-20 October 2024), the Chifley Library in Canberra hosted an exhibition of Italian books, ‘Il Mondo delle Donne tra le Righe’, including novels by various Italian writers (Grazia Deledda, Dacia Maraini, Elena Ferrante, Vanessa Roggeri, Andrea Camilleri, Simometta Agnello Hornby, Giacomo Mameli, Carmen Salis, Maurizio de Giovanni, Michela Murgia, etc.) and essays on the role of Italian women in literature. The exhibition was curated by Bruna Carboni, lecturer of Italian at the l’Australian National University of Canberra.
