The author analyzes two movies that are particularly emblematic of Burton’s poetics, “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and “Corpse Bride”, both filmed with an animation technique this director loves, “stop motion”. This monograph takes the reader on a journey through Burton’s worlds, comparing them and analyzing the mysterious, unexplored and uncontaminated dimension in which they merge, beyond the space of film projection.
