Il debito e l’onore
by Costa, Fortunato
Arianisa dreams of a life different from the one imposed on her by strict Albanian traditions. When a family tragedy shatters her world, she decides to flee to Italy, chasing the hope of a better future. But fate has even harsher trials in store for her: kidnapped by the Italian underworld, she is forced into prostitution. Trapped in a world of violence and oppression, Arianisa finds an unexpected escape in Mario, the rebellious son of a local boss. Together they flee to Rome, united by a deep bond that defies every rule.
In the Eternal City, Arianisa discovers within herself the strength to fight not only for her own freedom, but also for that of many other women like her. Yet to build a new life, she must confront the ghosts of her past and the pull of her homeland.
