Il male quotidiano. Incursioni filosofiche nell’horror
In all its forms, horror has the courage to unveil what arouses fear and disgust, experimenting with narrative, daring to push the boundaries of our usual perception of reality. This is the challenge it poses to philosophical reflection, and it is appropriate to embrace it, investigating the workings of a paradoxical and indefinable genre, yet so close as to touch the intimate of the real that we are.
Davide Navarria is professor of Cultural Anthropology and Ethnology at the Catholic University of Brescia and teacher of history and philosophy in high schools. He deals with new media and pornography, TV series, cinema and horror literature, phenomena interpreted in the light of his studies in psychoanalytic, philosophical and anthropological fields.
Selena Pastorino is Ph.D. in Philosophy and Professor of Philosophy and History at Liceo Mazzini in Genoa.
