Il passo della gatta

by Bonora, Mirella
Il passo della gatta

Corinna, a successful New York art dealer, reluctantly accepts a vague assignment from her grandmother, the head of the family holding company. She returns to Ferrara—a city she detests—to oversee the acquisition of a singular art collection, following rather enigmatic instructions. In Ferrara, she will clash with the bittersweet, unresolved ghosts of her past, fight unexpected enemies, and find herself at the mercy of twist of fate that crosses her path with Daisy, a brilliant university student with a detective’s spirit, and her friends. A mysteriously missing book, a love story from a bygone era, and a trail of hidden clues will spark a true treasure hunt with unexpected turns. In the background lies a Ferrara portrayed from an unusual perspective—that of its Art Nouveau villas and 20th-century district, the guardian and memory of a secret that somehow binds the two young women. An adventure that weaves between past and present, inevitably leading to the city’s medieval heart, where long-hidden family secrets wait to be revealed.
