Lessons have just ended and Pietro, a boy of almost thirteen, is already looking forward to the moment when he will reach the port to go boating. However, he just has time to leave the schoolyard and notice that his parents are there waiting for him and, overwhelmed by a deafening noise, he finds himself catapulted to the ground, not far from the lifeless bodies of his father and mother poured into the blood. Unable to move, to think and to speak, he is removed from that place of death by a captain of the carabinieri who explains to him that his parents were killed by the ‘Ndrangheta. For this reason, Pietro will become part of the witness protection program and he will be followed by a psychotherapist who will find him a family to live in. It will be the commitment of the captain, the closeness of the psychotherapist and the love of the foster family, to help Pietro to dissolve the atrocious and constant pain that wears him and discover the truth about the death of his parents.
