Mouse is a ten-years-old girl who lives with her father Teodoro, Nobel Prize in Physics,  who is suffering from narcolepsy, in Tamarindi, the poorest country in the world. A country from which everyone emigrates in search of work and whose few inhabitants are forced to work harder in order to survive. Mouse, motherless, lives her life through a computer. These situation isolates her, makes her a lonely child without friends, classmates … Her aunt, an eccentric opera singer who plays the characters she brings to the stage in her everyday life, met her through Skype. One day an email informs her that a package has arrived for her at the airport. The package is actually a funny puppy to which the girl puts the name of Tail of Ears. With the arrival of the dog, another life begins for Mouse. Who sent her the dog? And is the dog really a gift for her? After the arrival of the dog, Gabriella (the aunt) chose to reach Mouse in Tamarindi. Mouse drops the computer to live a real life that start showing thousand faces of a colorful kaleidoscope. She starts to discover a mysterious farm and marvellous people. From the veterinarian who is also a flight controller and a relative of the famous Galileo Galilei; to the teacher who is also a farmer. Meeting a doctor, who is also a pharmacist, she enters the palace of King Tamarindo, a man who looks like a living jewelry. But suddenly Ear Tail is kidnapped. Who may have an interest in abducting a puppy? What is hiding behind that big lock? And why is the king so rich in such a poor country? When everything seems to get worse, the real queen of Tamarindi arrives from the jungle who chooses, democratically, to suppress the monarchy. And here the thousand faces of the kaleidoscope start to turn all together, making pink the life of all the characters.
