The author\’s reflection on the relationship between the human being, nature and sacred moves freely between aesthetics, epistemology, anthropology, history of religions, philosophy of physics, history of ideas, as well as, of course, psychoanalysis. A humanism that integrates the bond of continuity – constitutive, primary and indissoluble – of man with the non-human, with the earth, with matter, with the biosphere, and the primacy of the image as an original form of thought, even before the more complex and structured aspects of human culture.
Domenico Chianese, PhD, Psychiatrist, and Psychoanalyst with training functions of the Italian Psychoanalytic Society, which he was President from 2001 to 2005, is author of four books, translated into various languages. Born in Naples, he lives and works in Rome.
