Inabissarsi

by Nove, Aldo
Inabissarsi

Inabissarsi is the story of a descent into the deepest depths of existence; a journey through memory, art and reflection that transforms the human breath into a universal and necessary act. Aldo Nove intertwines his own path with the greats of contemporary poetry, such as Milo De Angelis, Nicola Crocetti and Nanni Balestrini, in a constant comparison between the present and the echoes of the masters. Nove explores inner and symbolic spaces, bearing witness to a poetic quest that is both personal and collective. From the dream of a sinking boat to the vision of a diver challenging the void, to encounters with lost poetic figures, Inabissarsi is constructed like a long, powerful breath. The narrative welcomes the reader on a journey where every experience – pain, the discovery of poetry and the confrontation with the unknown – reveals itself to be an act of inhalation and exhalation, a metaphor for the eternal flow between presence and absence. Through evocative and visionary language, Aldo Nove follows in the footsteps of the Italian poetic tradition, inheriting the intensity of a dialogue with the past and the courage of continuous renewal. This book invites us to breathe deeply, to immerse ourselves in the abyss to rediscover the beauty and meaning of what makes us human.
