Innovazione/i. Innovazione politica e sociale. Teorie, politiche, immaginari

Our society seems obsessed by continuous innovation and production of innovation. The concept of innovation itself is often used acritically, in the public debate as much as in the scientific one. So, it is useful to perform the critical thinking on development: innovation is now a principle and a value in itself which gives structure to the political and social practice. This volume presents a multidisciplinary approach, teoretical, historical and practical at the same time on this matter: from philosophical reflection to historical analysis; from anthropological studies to new economic policy towards a new process of subjectivation. This collection outlines a new field of investigation which explores the category of innovation and its possibility, through change, to raise civil and ethic awareness.

Alessandro Arienzo is Associate Professor of Politics History in Naples’ University ‘Federico II’. His interests go from history of political thought in the modern age, especially theoretical and scriptural paths of the reason of State and Machiavelism, to the contemporary politic theory on democracy, with particular attention towards governance, politic realism, and theories of emergency and security.
