Pirati contro Vichinghi
Un vascello solitario solca veloce le onde del mare trasportando un carico molto prezioso, ignaro del pericolo che incombe su di lui. Infatti, minacciosi predatori sono pronti all’assalto: una ciurma di filibustieri disonesti come gazze ladre, stupidi come seggiole e anche un po’ maleducati, pronti a tutto pur di sgraffignare un baule pieno di ricchezze… i pirati! Un manipolo di energumeni grezzi, maleodoranti e pelosi (parecchio pelosi, si dice che tra loro si nasconda un orso, ma nessuno se ne accorge), sempre in cerca di un bel bottino da arraffare… i vichinghi! Tutto è lecito, pur di sconfiggere il nemico. Chi si accaparrerà il tesoro? Una storia più avvincente della battaglia bambini contro broccoli, più epica della guerra tra mani contro zanzare… La lotta delle lotte, la sfida del secolo: pirati contro vichinghi!

Andrea Castellani è nato e vive a Firenze. Ha illustrato libri per l’infanzia per editori italiani e stranieri ed è regista di animazione da oltre vent’anni. Nel 2001 ha fondato lo studio di produzione Cartobaleno, di cui è direttore e in cui ricopre molteplici ruoli.
Pirates vs. Vikings
A lone ship swiftly cuts through the waves of the sea, carrying a very precious cargo. The crew is unaware of the danger looming over it. Indeed, dangerous predators are ready to attack it: the pirates, they are as dishonest as magpies, as stupid as chairs, and last but not least they are rude; they are willing to do anything to snatch a chest full of riches! Pirates are not alone: there’s a gang of crude, foul-smelling, and hairy brutes (very hairy, some even say there’s a bear hiding among them, but no one notices), who are always on the lookout for a nice treasure to grab… the vikings! Anything goes in order to defeat the enemy. Who will claim the treasure? This story is more thrilling than the battle of kids against broccoli, more epic than the war between hands and mosquitoes… The battle of battles, the challenge of the century: pirates vs. vikings!

Andrea Castellani was born and lives in Florence. He has illustrated children’s books for both Italian and foreign publishers and has worked as an animation director for over twenty years. In 2001, he founded the production studio Cartobaleno where he manages and supervises several projects.
