Tutti i bambini hanno momenti in cui si annoiano. Ed è importante avere un rifugio tutto per sé in quei momenti: per qualcuno magari è sotto una scrivania, per qualcun altro è un sottoscala. Argento, ultimo di una numerosa e rumorosa famiglia di topini, non ha nessun posto dove oziare. E così decide di cercarlo fuori di casa. Non è facile, anzi la ricerca è una vera avventura, perché scovare un luogo tutto per sé è come trovare un tesoro.
Loredana Baldinucci è nata in Umbria, ma vive e lavora a Milano. È traduttrice e editor di libri per ragazzi. Come editor, si occupa di narrativa italiana e straniera per Editrice Il Castoro. Fra le sue traduzioni: le serie di Percy Jackson, Apollo e Magnus Chase, di Rick Riordan, Kill All Enemies, di Melvin Burgess, Il tesoro dei Marvel, di Brian Selznick (Mondadori), La ragazza degli orsi e Il castello incantato di Olia, di Sophie Anderson (Rizzoli). È autrice della prima lettura Gatta Micia e degli albi illustrati Sei mai stato un babbuino? e Una tana tutta per me (Il Castoro).
Melinda Berti vive e lavora a Firenze, dove ha creato, dopo anni di continue idee e ricerche. Little Mel, un alter ego illustratrice che ama esplorare, trovare un significato in quello che crea e che cerca di portare un po’ del suo mondo in tutti ciò che disegna. Ha dato così via a un piccolo mondo popolato da animaletti, case carciofo e una natura senza tempo.
A Place just for Me
Silver is the youngest mouse in a loud mouse family. He’d love to have a quiet spot all to himself to do what he likes best: absolutely nothing! But it is almost impossible in his burrow: his noisy brothers and sisters are all over the place, playing ball, dancing and listening to music, cooking…What should Silver do? He tries to find refuge in the burrows belonging to his forest friends. But finding a place all to himself is harder than finding a treasure…
Loredana Baldinucci was born in Umbria but lives and works in Milan. She is a translator and editor of children’s books. As an editor, she works on Italian and foreign fiction for Editrice Il Castoro. Her translations include: Percy Jackson and The Trials of Apollo by Rick Riordan; Kill All Enemies by Melvin Burgess; The Marvels by Brian Selznick (Mondadori); and The Girl Who Speaks Bear and The Castle of Tangled Magic by Sophie Anderson (Rizzoli). She is the author of the early reader Gatta Micia and the picture books Sei mai stato un babbuino? and Una tana tutta per me (Il Castoro).
Melinda Berti lives and works in Florence, where, after years of constant creativity and exploration, she created Little Mel, an illustrator alter ego who loves to explore, find meaning in what she creates, and try to bring a little of her own world into everything she draws. She has thus given life to a little world populated by little animals, artichoke houses and a timeless natural landscape.

洛雷达娜·巴尔迪努奇（Loredana Baldinucci）出生于翁布里亚大区，现居米兰并在当地工作。她是一名青少年及儿童读物翻译和编辑，现任海狸出版社编辑，负责意大利及外国文学作品。

梅琳达·贝尔蒂（Melinda Berti）现居佛罗伦萨，并在当地工作。经过多年的不断构思与探索，她创造了“小梅尔”（Little Mel）这一插画家的另一个自我。小梅尔喜欢探索，在自己的创作中寻找意义，并努力把属于自己的那一方小世界融入每一幅作品之中。由此，她创造出了一个小小的幻想世界，里面生活着各种小动物、洋蓟形状的房子，以及仿佛超越时间的自然景致。

Todos los niños se aburren en algún momento. Es importante tener un refugio que solo sea para uno mismo en esos momentos: para algunos puede estar debajo de un escritorio y para otros debajo de las escaleras. Argento, el más joven de una familia numerosa y ruidosa de ratones, no tiene ningún lugar en el que poder pasar el rato. Así que decide buscarlo fuera de la casa. No es fácil; de hecho, la búsqueda es una verdadera aventura, porque encontrar un lugar que solo sea para uno mismo es como encontrar un tesoro.

Melinda Berti vive y trabaja en Florencia, donde creó, después de años de continuas ideas e investigación, Little Mel, un alter ego dibujante al que le encanta explorar y encontrar significado en lo que crea, y que intenta plasmar un poco de su mundo en todo lo que dibuja. De este modo, dio vida a un pequeño mundo lleno de animalitos, casas alcachofa y una naturaleza atemporal.
