Io, capitano

Jaxon Newmann wakes up in the middle of the night. He is in Milan, yet he smells the sea. He gets up, opens a bottle of beer, and begins to write. A vivid nightmare—too vivid—has haunted him again tonight. Stormy seas, billowing sails, harpoons, icy waters, distant beaches. He cannot explain it, but a voice from the depths of his subconscious speaks to him. It tells of another life, of a time long past and far away.

But Newmann, like all of us, must first think about survival in an increasingly gray and monotonous world. He writes this logbook to seek a way out, a meaning. Or simply to leave a trace of his journey.
