La formazione dei mediatori in lingua cinese: una proposta didattica

The volume explores a topic that has received limited attention in the field of Chinese language pedagogy, although being increasingly relevant within the European context—namely, teaching for mediation. The work proposes an innovative approach to the training of Chinese language students attending degree programs in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation. This approach is framed within the guidelines of the CEFR Companion Volume (2018) and compared with existing models developed for European languages. The first two chapters contextualize the concept of mediation and the role of the mediator, while also reflecting on the lack of adequate efforts toward the formalization of the mediator’s professional role and training. The third chapter presents a specific set of teaching materials designed to foster mediation skills among students of Chinese, as well as to enhance their acquisition of specialized terminology in the legal–juridical and bureaucratic domains. The fourth chapter presents the results of a teaching experiment conducted to assess the effectiveness of the materials and offers some pedagogical insights for the teaching of mediation within Chinese language courses.
