La morte a colori

by Morozzi, Gianluca
La morte a colori

Felice Venturi has a gift. He inherited it from his mother. He calls it “death in color.” By touching a dying person, he can give them the illusion of a long, radiant future—a splendid dimension in which all their desires come true—while the few minutes they have left stretch into years, decades, like the expanded time of dreams. Is it better to face a brief and terrible reality, or to live a long and fulfilling fantasy? Whenever he can, Felice offers his gift, granting others a beautiful, gratifying lifetime. From time to time he appears in the illusion himself and asks: Do you prefer to return to your present—painful but real—or would you rather stay here a little longer?

Meanwhile, Felice Venturi must manage a complicated life of his own: a screenplay to finish, a girlfriend who knows nothing about his gift, and an intriguing Ornella Muti look-alike with a passion for monumental cemeteries… With La morte a colori, Gianluca Morozzi ventures into a supernatural romantic comedy—moving and unsettling at the same time.
