Le nostre guerre silenziose
by Valentini, David
The events in this book revolve around Verdicchio Consulting, a consulting firm in Rome. There is Federica, who has just returned from Bolzano and must come to terms with what she thought she had left behind; there is Paolo, unable to manage a double life, and Antonio, who fled a multinational company in an attempt not to sacrifice everything for work; there is Katia, forced to live with her father’s illness; and finally Cesare, the company director, always ready to dispense advice (perhaps too much). With Le nostre guerre silenziose (Our Silent Wars), David Valentini returns to bookshops, having already been discovered and loved by the public through Tutto ciò che poteva rompersi (Everything That Could Break) (Accento, 2022). For the first time, the Accento Acuto series features the second work by an author who made his debut here. Maintaining the fragmented novel structure that won over readers three years ago, Le nostre guerre silenziose contributes to outlining Valentini’s fascinating narrative universe, in which the lives, careers and destinies of those who appear in the pages are interconnected. It is a mosaic that accurately depicts the society in which we live.
