Pibi looks like a normal eleven-year-old boy in every way. But Pibi has a secret: he’s not human, he’s a superhero. He calls himself Pibi because it sounds better, but his full name is PIBI2309325N6M3. But Pibi isn’t exactly like the other superheroes, either. He loves human beings so much that he wants to be just like them. But this is strictly forbidden.

Luigi Ballerini (Sarzana, Italy, 1963) is a doctor and psychoanalyst, and a member of the board of Amici del Pensiero, at whose school he trained. He is also the supervisor of Milan’s Accademia Oliver Twist, where, through music, dance, theater and singing, kids learn to challenge themselves, cultivate their passions, and follow through on their commitments. He deems himself fortunate to have the chance to meet so many young people, whether at his professional studio for consultations or at schools and cultural centers for book presentations or children’s writing courses. This may be why he has the impression that stories are always coming to find him, without him having to go out and look for them. For some time now he has been writing novels and stories, mostly for young kids, with the gusto and passion of communicating the desires, hopes and difficulties that fill their hearts.
