Raymond Barbieri drags his life in a Rome hot and sleepy of an end summer. He is a former private detective and now for make ends meet he searches lost dogs by owners forgetful. He no longer dream, he is firmly convinced of it. He have a bad feeling, that he has by long time lost the better part of his life. He gets a phone call and gets started the investigation into the disappearance of “Tabacco”, a excellent truffle dog. He goes up to the hills outside Rome and he feels a unexpected lightness. But soon he has to face an investigative case anything but simple…
