At the end of the 1970s, armed with his tape recorder, Ernesto travels around Italy to collect stories and testimonies of an Italy that seems to be disappearing under the blows of modernisation. The story begins with the protagonist’s arrival in Malanotte, the old village where his grandfather and all his ancestors had grown up. Within three diabolical days, Ernesto goes from being a pampered guest to an outsider, a foreign body to be expelled as soon as possible. He will discover many things about that place and his destiny: a terrible curse weighs on the old family home and now, once again, it has fallen upon him. A refined and disturbing Gothic tale, written by one of the best Italian scriptwriters and beautifully drawn by one of the most promising authors of her generation.
