Montessori: why not? is a fundamental text for anyone interested in the life and works of the famous pedagogist.On the wave of the recent renewed interest in the figure and thought of Maria Montessori, the text, already published by Franco Angeli in 7 editions and out of print for years, has been edited by Grazia Honegger Fresco, corrected and expanded with a text by Montessori herself on Cosmic Education and one on learning our language for migrant adults.
The child who felt a strong love for the environment and living beings, who found joy and enthusiasm in work, gives us hope that humanity can develop in a new sense. Our hope for future peace lies not in the teachings that the adult can give the child, but in the normal development of the new man.

Grazia Honegger Fresco (Rome, January 6, 1929 – Castellanza, September 30, 2020), a student of Maria Montessori, has long experienced the innovative power of her proposals in maternity hospitals, nests, children’s homes and elementary schools. On the basis of her experiences with children and their parents, she has dedicated much of her energy to the training of educators in Italy and abroad.
