Who is the guy living in the deepest, most impenetrable pitch-black darkness without complaining? And how can Enrica carry inside her small pieces of four dead people? Where does the voice pushing Filippo to grasp the girl’s wrist and convince her to follow him under the cherry tree come from? Paola would jump without a problem, but higher rather than down, because she doesn’t like water. She doesn’t like it in any form, not even the clear, blue, transparent water below her. Roberto is scared of growing up too fast, or even to grow up at all. Twenty-one protagonists, boys and girls, twenty-one stories, twenty-one fears.
