Puccini e/and Caruso
by Valente, Laura, Ferraris, Maria Pia, Ledda, Pierluigi
Much has been said about how similar Puccini and Caruso were. They shared a passion for women, luxury, music, the search for secluded places where the restless soul could run free. Both chose Tuscany, the more rural and less glossy one.
Puccini traveled it on the wheels of his beloved cars, hunting and with his dogs. Caruso drawing, playing, enjoying ancient flavors. Elegant, on every occasion. Melancholy and inner suffering accompanied them throughout their lives. But their talent, their greatness as artists, always managed to unfold. Sometimes together, sometimes not. Innovators. And lovers of life. In this, yes, they were similar.
