The events of a Sicilian family, seen through the ironic and at times sarcastic gaze of the head of the family, Don Ciccio, took place during the 1950s, up to the years of student revolts and consequent social changes. Between a bitter reflection and an anger of the protagonist, the stories of the book are marked by an alternation of religious holidays and regional culinary traditions, in which Don Ciccio will never give up the opportunity to eat any of his favorite dishes, including Sicilian Cassata. The book is accompanied by recipes of typical Sicilian dishes, color and black and white illustrations.
