Sbarchi. Lampedusa il grido degli ultimi
by Cacciatore Alfonso , Nastasi StefanoAn extraordinary narrative and direct testimony by Don Stefano Nastasi, parish priest in Lampedusa from 2007 to 2013. Don Stefano recounts events highlighted by Pope Francis’s first apostolic journey on July 8, 2013, and the tragic shipwreck on October 3. The bare humanity and faces of people marked by migration meet the hospitality and generosity of the island’s inhabitants. A theological reading of the migration phenomenon and the significant category of the ‘signs of the times’ is provided by theologian Alfonso Cacciatore.
