Isella, Gilberto

Gilberto Isella is a translator, playwright, literary critic, and one of Switzerland’s leading Italian-language poets. Born in Lugano in 1943, he lived in Milan from 1968 to 1971, working in the publishing industry. He cofounded the cultural journal Bloc Notes in 1979.
