Turin, St. John’s Eve. Cleo is sitting on the diving board of a swimming pool closed to the public. She’s waiting for someone, but instead of an explanation, two hands push her into the water. Cleo can’t swim. She sinks. When she opens her eyes again, however, she isn’t at the bottom of the pool, but in the science classroom at her high school. Cleo doesn’t understand: is she at school or underwater? Both places. It happens sometimes when you’re suspended between life and death. While she’s in that limbo, her mind offers her a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: to relive the movie of her own life. But she has little time left. Just seven minutes before her heart stops forever or starts again. Seven minutes to revisit her memories, to explore them as clues. To find out who pushed her, of course. But above all, to understand who she really is and choose who she wants to become.
