Indizi per posta
by Pesce, Mariapaola
One morning in December, Riccardo Maurici is writing the final words of the eagerly awaited new episode of the Fox detective series when he is interrupted by the postman delivering an envelope. Inside the envelope, he finds torn train tickets, a bookmark with a photographer’s logo, a flyer for a Chanel fashion show, a photocopy of a notarized power of attorney from the Portuguese consulate, crumpled envelopes, an old letter in tatters, pieces of meaningless paper, and a message: ‘I know they’re holding her prisoner, but I don’t know where: only you can help her. Hurry up: they’re taking her away on the 24th!”
Who is speaking? And who are they talking about? Why did they come looking for him?
It must be a joke, surely! But what if it’s all true?
Now that he has this story on his hands, he can’t ignore it. And, according to the message, he doesn’t have much time left to free the girl. Maurici must put himself in Fox’s shoes, his own character, and think and act like a skilled detective. Will he be as good as him at untangling this complicated mess?
