A tavola con gli Zar

by Rosso Dada, Rosso Dada, Rosso Dada
A tavola con gli Zar

A tavola con gli Zar was born from a memory of the author Dada Rosso, from a Monday in December 1989 when in all of Moscow there was not a pound of butter for sale to cream a risotto and she had solved the problem by using a slice of vanilla ice cream, sold in abundance (since the temperature had dropped to -15 degrees) in a kiosk on the street. After reflecting on how ingenious women must be to put together lunch and dinner even in times of scarcity, she had the urge to feed herself in a big way, reading about fantastic delicacies and lavish banquets described by the greats of Russian literature and European writers who, while traveling in the past between Moscow and St. Petersburg, had written wonders about those foods.
