Al canto del gallo

by Negrin Fabian
Al canto del gallo

Negrin surprises us with a text in the form of a fable about a kingdom that chose its rulers in a curious way: it was the roosters who proclaimed the new regent. The name of the chosen one was to be sung in chorus by all the roosters of the kingdom. As this event was very rare, between one king and the next, years would pass in which chaos and war, ruin and disarray would reign. When the last king died, the subjects were prepared to suffer further years of famine. Reading age: from 5 years.
