Cadere sette volte, rialzarsi otto. Il Giappone e il giapponese per autodidatti
by Parisi, Flavio
Minimum course in Japanese. The charm of the country of the Rising Sun in a curious and funny Japanese course.
Flavio Parisi, collaborator of the “Post” lives in Tokyo since many years, where he teaches Italian language and diction to opera singers.
He is often host of podcasts as correspondent from Japan and tells facts and traditions from the narrow and long country that captivates the whole world. And yet, Flavio did not know a word of Japanese before he went there for a postgraduate holiday: he began to learn it in the sake bars and public toilets, taking advantage of the kindness of elderly gentlemen and the sympathy of young students, all intrigued by this young Friulian who wanted at all costs to enter their beautiful and difficult language. Twenty years later, Parisi decided to return the favor, to teach a bit of Japanese to all of us: in this minimum course he uses idiomatic expressions and the study of ideograms to get us into the philosophy and culture of one of the most fascinating of the world.
