È una figura popolare del Festival di Sanremo, che collabora con grandi artisti come Gino Paoli e Andrea Bocelli. È anche compositore di musica classica, e la sua composizione da camera « Tarantina » è stata eseguita alla Scala di Milano.

He is also a composer of classical music, and his camera composition « Tarantina » was performed at La Scala in Milan .
