Nico non c’è, mamma e papà proprio non riescono a trovarlo… Dove sarà andato?
Nico sta giocando a nascondino con i suoi genitori che fanno finta di non vederlo. I nascondigli di Nico sono impossibili sembrano uscire direttamente dalla fantasia del bambino. I genitori seguendo il gioco si fingono sempre più preoccupati in un crescendo ritmato dalle parole. Alla fine, troviamo Nico è dove era sempre stato, sulla poltrona ma addormentato! Le figure descrittive di questo albo sono adatte ai più piccoli che devono imparare a nominare il mondo, ma sono ricche di fantasia. Inoltre, c’è un secondo modo di leggere questa storia! In copertina appare un merlo, non è mai nominato nell’albo, ma sappiamo che entra dai risguardi, gioca con Nico a nascondersi ed esce alla fine della storia. I bambini potranno quindi divertirsi a sfogliare le pagine da capo e… per trovare Nico basterà seguire il merlo!
Alice Keller nasce a Bologna nel 1988. Dopo un periodo trascorso tra il teatro e la musica, è diventata scrittrice per bambini e ragazzi. I suoi romanzi sono pubblicati da diverse case editrici italiane e tradotti all’estero. Per kira kira edizioni sono usciti gli albi A casa dell’ape e Yukie e l’orso.
Maki Hasegawa nasce a Osaka in Giappone nel 1976. È appassionata di attività creative fin dall’infanzia, in particolare disegno e pittura. Nel 1999 si trasferisce in Italia per frequentare l’Accademia delle Belle Arti di Brera e consegue il diploma di Pittura nel 2004. Nel 2015 inizia l’attività di illustratrice che svolge tuttora a Milano, dove vive e lavora. Con kira kira edizioni ha pubblicato A casa dell’ape e Yukie e l’orso.
Where is Nico?
Where is Nico? Mom and dad just can’t find him…
Nico is playing hide and seek with his parents at home, they pretend not to see him. Nico’s hiding places are impossible and seem to come straight from the child’s imagination. The parents, following the game, pretend to be increasingly worried in a crescendo punctuated by the words. In the end, we find Nico where he has always been, on the armchair but asleep! The illustrations are full of immagination but descriptives, so this book is suitable for the pre-reader who need to learn to name the world. Furthermore, there is a second way to read this story! A blackbird appears on the cover, it is never named in the book, but we know that it comes in through the endpapers, plays hide and seek with Nico and comes out at the end of the story. Children can therefore have fun turning the pages from the beginning and… to find Nico you just follow the blackbird!
Alice Keller was born in Bologna in 1988. After a period spent between theater and music, she became a writer for children and young adults. Her novels are published by various Italian publishing houses and translated abroad. With kira kira edizioni she also published the picture books The Bee House and Yukie and the Bear.
Maki Hasegawa was born in Osaka, Japan in 1976. She has been passionate about creative activities since childhood, especially drawing and painting. In 1999 she moved to Italy to attend the Brera Academy of Fine Arts and graduated in Painting in 2004. In 2015 she began working as an illustrator, which she still does in Milan, where she lives and works. With kira kira edizioni she also published the picture books The Bee House and Yukie and the Bear.
