When we are kids, we can play, but as soon as we grow up we progressively stop and realise we are no longer able to play as we become parents. Fortunately, our kids are very patient teachers who are eager to help us regain our old playing skills. Playing with our children can foster a very deep relationship with them. If you pay attention to their play, you will hear and understand all that they cannot tell you yet. Creating toys with and for your kids is a way to meet again and reach out, as well as creatively spend some time together. It can also teach them to appreciate and respect work and that non-existing things can be invented. This book underlines the importance of play in all its aspects and provides some creative ideas to be easily carried out with and for your kids.
