Grazia Deledda, corrispondenze giovanili. Con manoscritto originale del suo esordio nella critica letteraria

Grazia Deledda, in 1892, published her first literary review in the fortnightly magazine \’Vita Sarda\’. She presented in national preview the novel \’Vigliaccherie femminili\’, by Giulio Cesari from Trieste, friend of Italo Svevo. The author Neria De Giovanni, who is in possession of the precious original of the novel by Pasquale Giordano, a gift from the lawyer Pasquale Giordano, offers in this volume the anastatic reproduction. It gives us back the figure of a young Deledda, increasingly at the centre of Italian cultural life, at her debut as a literary critic.

This Deledda is an already talented writer, although still far from the success and glory that the young girl from Nuoro cultivated as the great dream of her life; to this she dedicated all her existential restlessness as a woman and as an artist animated by a cognitive eros oscillating between passions and the search for her own way.

Neria De Giovanni was born in Sestri Levante in 1952; she is an essayist, biographer and literary critic. Since 1995 she has been the organizer of the \’Premio Nazionale Alghero Donna di Letteratura e Giornalismo\’.

She is considered an expert on the Nobel Prize Grazia Deledda, De Giovanni is editorial director of the publishing house Nemapress Edizioni and of the telematic magazine PortaleLetterario.net.
