Il pensiero e il silenzio

by Borgni Santi
Il pensiero e il silenzio

Thoughts, worries, desires, the will to obtain and achieve, anger, fear—all these constitute the ‘inner noise’ of every individual. The transformation of this noise, its end, or at least a radically different weight, is possible. The absence of inner noise is silence, which arises from the deepest knowledge of oneself. It is in silence that healthy thinking, communication, and listening take root. The text is configured as a journey that constantly invites the reader to self-knowledge. It explores the many facets of thought, imagination, memory, knowledge, and sensitivity, then opens up to reflection on what cannot be defined: silence, the inner gaze, the end of the self, the encounter with the sacred and the infinite. Particular attention is given to the importance of sometimes withdrawing from all habits to find an empty space. The author condenses forty years of reflections, readings, meetings, dialogues, and meditations into these pages, inviting readers to discover, through silence, the end of time and the simple beauty of life.
