Giada’s grandmother would like a granddaughter dressed in tulle or soft silk. She would like her to be a dancer, a snow princess or a mermaid of the seas. But Giada prefers a doctor’s coat, a train conductor’s jacket or an explorer’s uniform: in her dreams there are no pirouettes, but exciting adventures to discover the world. With her grandmother’s fabrics and her imagination, the little girl begins to carve out her own future. Il vestito dei miei sogni (The dress of my dreams), written by Anna Vivarelli and illustrated by Desideria Guicciardini, is a story that compares two generations and their different points of view, suggesting another possible relationship and the opportunity for everyone to sew their own ambitions to measure.

Anna Vivarelli lives and works in Turin. Graduated in Philosophy and very young playwright, for over fifteen years she has worked as a copywriter for several advertising agencies.
Desideria Guicciardini was born in Florence, but lives and works in Milan. She is an illustrator of children’s books for the most important Italian and foreign publishing houses.
