Brina

La gatta di città Brina e i suoi padroni si trasferiscono in montagna per le vacanze estive. Lì, Brina incontra un gruppo di gatti randagi chiamato La banda del sole felino. I suoi nuovi amici la convincono a scappare e diventare una gatta libera. Da un lato, le avventure nella foresta aiutano Brina a scoprire un nuovo stile di vita e un senso di indipendenza che non aveva mai conosciuto; dall’altro, gettano nel panico i suoi giovani padroni, che non sopportano l’idea di perdere qualcuno che considerano parte integrante della famiglia.

Brina è una serie in tre parti che racconta le numerose avventure di Brina, sia da sola che con i suoi amici e la sua famiglia, sia umana che felina. Brina riflette le esperienze dei bambini di tutto il mondo, che ogni giorno scoprono che crescere è tanto emozionante quanto impegnativo.

In questo romanzo grafico, gli autori prestano particolare attenzione alle emozioni sia umane che feline, esplorando abilmente il delicato equilibrio tra proteggere coloro che amiamo e dare loro la libertà di commettere errori e di capire le cose da soli.

Giorgio Salati ha un’esperienza ventennale come sceneggiatore per i fumetti Disney. Ha scritto episodi di diverse serie animate di diffusione internazionale, tra cui 44 Gatti (Rainbow) e Le Tre Moschettiere (Method Animation). Per Tunué ha scritto i tre volumi di Brina e il graphic novel Sospeso.

Christian Cornia collabora con l’agenzia internazionale Advocate Art e insegna nel corso di Animazione e di Fumetto della Scuola Internazionale di Comics di Reggio Emilia. Ha creato illustrazioni e characters per editoria, pubblicità, videogiochi e giochi di ruolo per il mercato europeo e americano. Collabora con gli USA per diversi personaggi, tra cui Scooby Doo, Batman, Star Trek e Supernatural. In Italia ha pubblicato Brina (Tunué).

Brina

The city cat Brina and her owners move to the mountains for the Summer holidays. There, Brina meets a group of stray cats called The Gang of the Feline Sun. Her new friends convince her to run away and become a free cat. On one hand, the escapades in the forest help Brina discover a new lifestyle and a sense of independence she had never known; on the other hand, they throw her young owners into a panic, as they can’t bear the thought of losing someone they consider an essential part of the family.

Brina is a three-part series that tells the many adventures of Brina, both alone and with her friends and family—both human and feline. Brina reflects the experiences of children everywhere, who discover every day that growing up is as thrilling as it is challenging.

In this graphic novel, the authors pay close attention to both human and feline emotions, skillfully exploring the delicate balance between protecting those we love and giving them the freedom to make mistakes—and to figure things out on their own. Recommended reading age: 8 and up.

Giorgio Salati has over twenty years of experience as a scriptwriter for Disney comics. He has written episodes for various international animated series, including 44 Cats (Rainbow) and The Three Musketeers (Method Animation). For Tunué, he authored the three volumes of Brina and the graphic novel Sospeso.

Christian Cornia collaborates with the international agency Advocate Art and teaches in the Animation and Comics courses at the International School of Comics in Reggio Emilia. He has created illustrations and character designs for publishing, advertising, video games, and role-playing games for both the European and American markets. He works with U.S. companies on various franchises, including Scooby-Doo, Batman, Star Trek, and Supernatural. In Italy, he published Brina (Tunué).
