La diffidenza della lingua. Percorsi nella po-etica di Ilse Aichinger (1945-1976)
by Iacovella, Matteo
This study is dedicated to the work of the Austrian writer Ilse Aichinger (1921-2016), one of the most important voices of the German-speaking twentieth century. The feeling of mistrust is
identified as the glowing, programmatic core from which an articulated poetic journey crosses the threshold of the millennium. It proposes ways of reading and analysing the first thirty years of Aichinger’s production (1945-1976) in order to explore the ethical implications of writing after the caesura of 1945.
The experimentalist thrust and the curiosity to look inside and behind words, to liberate language dispersed on the margins of forms and dictability,
result in a futuristic work that constantly interrogates reality, in a daily practice of dissent.
